What will happen to my loan / home if the lender who gave us the loan goes bankrupt or out of business?
With the sub-prime lenders go bankrupt in this market hosuing many homeowners whose loans / homes could be endangered.
That's a good question. Normally what happens is that your loan will be sold to another financial institution that becomes your new lender. Apart from a change of name should not be different for you. The problem is that if prior to the report to what or who owns your loan, what do you do with the monthly payments that are supposed to do and are willing to do? First, do not think there's a free ride or anything. You remain liable to make payments. If they are still in contact with your lender's business and ask what to do.
