What I can do with a mortgage company check my credit without my permission?

Ok … I get a call from a lady saying my assigned mortgage company and that my file it could obtain a lower interest rate. Well great, I said tell me what to do. We will never give my husband or my social security number or other information. Well, she checked our credit or without my permission. I called my mortgage company and told me to never give my information to anyone …. but this lady said that they did and that's how she had my information. What should I do?

I would ask the lady by the name of the person on the original mortgage company that gave him his information. Someone is lying here. If she will not tell you then you know it's her (or his company). He could be kidding you have your social security number on the check credit.
