Do you spend the lawmakers that the plan to freeze adjustable rate mortgages?
A few months ago, Paulson was talking about a plan to freeze adjustable-rate mortgages that meet certain criteria? Was this plan happen? I have not heard much about it lately. If approved, how can take advantage of it? Automatically arm is frozen or has to apply some how? Any information would be appreciated, thanks.
There is no automatic freeze, nor is there any law passed that mandates such rate freezing. Several of the largest mortgage companies (lenders) have agreed volunteer to keep rates on adjustable-rate mortgages in the coming years. However, there are bound to do so.
